1010 diesel compression question
1010 diesel compression question
I have the following compression on cylinders 1-4: 360, 250, 0 and 305. The machine lost power last winter while plowing snow. Air pressure applied to that cylinder shows leakage to the crankcase. Considering the general condition of this machine and my need and desire to get it running, can I afford/find parts to just get the bad cylinder repaired? A major overhaul seems futile and crazy to me! Thanks.
The problem is that the 1010 uses a deck sleeve, so if the issue of lack of compression in that cylinder is in part because of the cylinder wall scoring then you may need to get a new deck sleeve, and they are not cheap.
(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment
need to pull the head and pan and see just what you have wrong .....YES the sleeve deck is pricy but at least yours is 1010 diesel it uses the same sleeve as 2010 gas they are made aftermarket
