440 ICD reverser

I need some advice here.. I have been putting this off a while.. but i still want to add reverser to my ICD.. will a reverser out of a earlier gas 440 fit a diesel . I still am looking for some second gear parts for the tranny and i know the gas isnt the same.. but the reverser???? Thanks..

Internals are the same always, and once the diesel came out, gas and diesel have same transmission and internals, and same reverser as well.
I might have the gear you need.

Hi,

IIRC, the 440 had the reverser case and bellhousing always as well. Meaning if one did not buy the reverser option, one still had the empty case with a straight shaft inside in place of the reverser parts.

There are two different bell housings though but can be easly swaped.

That guy in Columbia NH has a 1010 he's parting out now on Craig's list, may want to give him a call could still have the 440 reverser?
