Determining Year or Serial Number Range for JD2010 Crawlers

Post by Tigerhaze » Thu Aug 24, 2006 12:33 pm

Hi everyone-

I recently purchased a JD2010 crawler loader. One drawback is that it appears the serial number plate has been worn away, so I can't determine its exact age or serial number range. Apparently this is important for ordering certain parts and also may be important concerning the pin and bushing discontinuation that Lavoy posted about.

It is a diesel, so I know from the serial number list that it is at least a 1962 (and based on that year serial number greater than 21807).

Are there any other defining features or parts that I can inspect to
determine the year or approximate serial number range for this machine? I do know it has 5 bottom rollers if that helps any.

Also, did they put a serial number plate in more than one place?

Thanks for your time-
