Question About Model 50 Backhoe Bucket Interchangability

Post by Tigerhaze » Sat Aug 26, 2006 9:23 am

Hi everyone-

I have another question for you all- hopefully it isn't a dumb one. I have a Model 50 backhoe attachment with a 16" bucket for my crawler. I was wanting to get a couple other bucket sizes for the backhoe- mainly a 12" and 24" bucket.

I see a lot of used buckets available for the JD 310 models. Are JD backhoe buckets universally interchangeable with the Model 50 boom? Are there other models that have interchangeable buckets? I plan on measuring the pin distances on the bucket and boom if needed to answer this question, but would like to confirm this with the knowledgeable folks on here.

Thanks-

Check your pin size and spread distance They should not change till the old 510 and710 size hoes requireing shims to fit on And even the newer 310-410 are the same diameter and distance some real old ones had a smaller hole But most are interchangeable.Digitup.
