JD 1010 blade on to a JD420

How much of a hassle would it be to adapt a JD 1010 dozer blade to a JD 420? Is anything a direct bolt on?

If it is the outside arm blade, it is a direct fit, all you will need to do is make two mounting plates that weld to the outside of the trackframes.
