Hydraulic problem

Post by BearRocks » Fri Dec 25, 2015 11:40 am

After running my 1010 for 20-30 minutes I lose the down pressure on the blade. Still can lift the blade. After sitting for a day it again works for 20-30 minutes. Any suggestions as to what the problem is and will it hurt to keep running it like this?
Thanks for any help.

Is the oil level up?
Oil clean?
Check linkage on the lever and valve.

Could be the cup/piston seals on the lift cylinders

Cold oil is thicker and develops more pressure in a worn out pump. Check the pressure and see if it drops as the oil warms.

Sounds like there is an issue with spool. Flow meter and gauge should be able to find problem.

Thanks for all the suggestions. This time of year's not the best time to be spending money on a dozer  so I may just keep "babying" it along.
