Seals for hydraulic track tensioners (440IC)

Post by boivin » Wed Sep 06, 2006 6:11 am

Good day,

First off, great messageboard, very informative!

The seals on my track tensioner got damaged... the front idler was sloppy (guides worn, broken guide bolts, worn idler axle) and caused the idler to go cock-eyed, throwing the track plus damaging the tensioner seals.
I see 2 seals on the tensioner:
- one seems to be leather cup and sits on the "piston" arm. Searches in other forums seem to indicate part # T11123.
- one is a "regular" seal sitting at the lip of the cylinder. The number on the cylinder is T14409T.
I'd appreciate info on the seal part numbers and availability. I do have the parts & service manuals but they are currently 100+ miles away with the crawler...

Thanks,
Ed

Ed,
You should be able to get them at your local dealer.
