40C Front Idler

Post by Loose Tracks » Mon Apr 04, 2016 6:43 pm

My 40C is a 5 roller, pulled one front idler (19") due to slop. Parts book calls for 2 bushings M 2266 T. OK, got one bushing out, number stamped on outside surface M2234T, underneath was stamped J.B.-T. Can anybody explain the difference in the numbers.

Bore in idler is 2.187. OD of idler shaft (in center) 1.980. The bushing is just a wrapped bushing with 2 oil (grease) grooves.

Use the M2266T, that is the number you will have to order. Other number could be old number, or reference number that does not relate to part number, not sure.
I have some NOS shafts, and new seals on hand if you need them.

Shaft is $125, seals are $50/each, bushings $48/each. Should have everything in stock.
