1010 Fuel Tank Sender Resistance

Post by wwattson » Sun Sep 10, 2006 7:40 am

Does anyone know the resistance range of the AT13156T fuel tank sending unit? I believe the most common is 240 ohm empty and 33.5 ohm full but I'm not sure that Deere follwed this convention. Thanks.

I hope this helps you, I just measured the new sending unit I got from the dealer for my 1010C and have not installed yet. Empty was about full continuity or .5 ohms. Granted the float was all the way down and in reality while installed in the tank may not quite have the full range of motion since it would hit the bottom of the tank. Full read 29.5 ohms.

Wow, glad I asked. I would have never guessed they'd used a resistance that low. There is a standard gauge range with 0 ohms at empty and 90 ohms at full but I never would have thought that the Deere sender would be that different.
