Hydraulic pump question

Post by ggfossen » Mon Sep 11, 2006 5:09 pm

Anybody know if there are different hydraulic pumps available for a 420; higher and lower volume???

I ask because mine was yellow, and it's on a green tractor?

As long as it is the cam driven pump, there is only one. Could be a used pump off of a yellow crawler was installed. Also, the primer used on Deere parts was kind of a pukey yellow green, could have been a new pump at one time.

Lavoy,

OK. I think it was yellow, so it probably came off something from the factory that was yellow. I've found some of that odd primer (at least I think I have). This stuff is good old JD yellow, then red, then green. It's been around. Whatever it was, it's now new green.

Radiator, front weight, and hood is all I have left. Of course, the bottom brackets on the radiator are busted, so I will have to work by that, and the hood has it's share of small fractures. For that, I will have to learn more about welding.

So many hills, and so little time.

Thanks,

Gary
