Put the nut back on the other side and take off the side that is stuck first.

Parts

Post by shugy368 » Tue May 31, 2016 9:18 am

I understand the might as well get sumpin done  3:00 AM is when I usually wake up with the solution to yesterdays problem  Any way It looks like I'll be needing both the R & L Idler brackets, oil seals (2) and the gasket? Shim?( the ones that I removed were plastic of some sort?) behind the thrust plates(2)
Might need (2) bushings as well but they look fine some minor pitting but will mic them today to make sure. Also the shaft has a small(1/4") wear spot from the setscrew wobble due to the ovaling of the idler bracket shaft receiver end, you think this is a problem? does that shaft actually spin or does everything just spin around it?

Usually if they have gotten loose in the bracket, the axle wears at the same time as the side brackets.
