I know this is a john deere sit but I thought Id ask this anyway...

looked at a hd7 today.
needs front idler wheel assy. left track side.
also a starter, and inspection plates for the 3-71 engine

the machine has a 3-71 Detroit, aftermarket front blade, front hyd pump. ROPS as well
don't know the year.
looks good.

1. where can I find these parts???
2. how much would they run???
3 are the sterring clutches like a 440 icd?
4. are they a pain to replace?
5 where is the fuel pump on this 3-71

the machine has large out riggers that hold the blade on out side of tracks. above the tracks there are great big arms that have some very large springs that attach to the blade assy.
what is this type of blade called?????

I was told the blade was an aftermarket one.
It was an old farm tractor.
left track is off of machine.
Iam thinking of buying it.
Is it 50' vintage??????
thanks

Any of the engine parts should be available from a Detroit dealer.
Steering clutches are the same concept, you can remove them from the top like a 450. Allis does not have coordinated steering, you have to pull on a steering lever and step on a brake pedal to make it turn.
Unless there is a tag on it, pretty hard to tell what brand of blade.

I need a starter for the 3-71
I need inspection plates for the same motor.
Also front left idler assy, (its gone) the large front wheel is spoked if it matters.
I am trying to get a rough figure for the above parts. so I can consider it when I make an offer for the rig.

thanks
