1010 broken trackframe

Post by robk » Sun Sep 18, 2016 5:36 pm

I'm going to experiment to try to figure out how to post useful pictures on this site.
For those interested, here's a link to my 1010 Google album. If you click on the caption, you can easily see that and the picture. Please let me know if it works - or doesn't.

There is no way to create an IMG tag to post pictures in forums like this one if you are using Google + Photo.... at least as of now. It was easy with its predecessor, Picasa.

Here are pictures of my broken casting that's been all butchered up by somebody with a stick welder. You can see the clamps aren't going to move either. They're welded to the round crossmember.

Thanks PopPop... that's correct. What I discovered is that Google + is no good for IMG. I need IMG to post anything in this forum. They won't let me do it. So I had to open a PhotoBucket account as recommended by Tigerhaze in his How to Post Pictures essay (see link from jtrichard above)

Hi,

I only see four total pics as well. Two of the light bracket. Two of the spring. No gears.

Robk, Your photos maybe be sized a little too large to display well for all users. You may want to resize them.
If pictures in the text of a posted message get too large they push everything over to the right of the screen, and for many people, off of the screen. Then you have to scroll over to read the end of a line of text and then scroll back over to read the beginning of the next line. A pain.
If you have a wide format screen you won't see that problem. If a user has a 16 inch diagonal screen that only measures about 12 inches wide. Some jdcrawler members have computer equipment as vintage as their crawlers. Gil

Thanks Gil. I see what you mean. I've got a 26" screen and it bleeds off on it. I will investigate. Could this be any more difficult? No wonder there are so few pictures. Eccch. I thought the instructions provided in the "how-to" posting by Tigerhaze said Photobucket would automatically re-size - so I'm missing something. It's still fantastic to me that Google would disable my ability to create a picture in IMG format. !!
