Service Manual for John Deere Lanz 440 Ag Crawler 3 pt

Hi
Im a new member from Australia to your great group. I have a John Deere Lanz 440 Ag crawler with Perkins P# motor and 3 pt linkage. Lovely machine
Where is the best site to go to for a service manual ? Maybe digital version if possible.
I have an Operators and parts manual.

There won't be a service manual for a Lanz unfortunately unless you find an original. The rest of the power train should be the same as standard 440, so a US service manual will take care of most of the crawler other than the Lanz only stuff like the Perkins.

I never heard of a JD with a Perkins in it. Is it 4 stroke and how many cylinders?

It is a 3 cylinder 4 stroke naturally Diesel Perkins P 152, commonly used in the Massey Ferguson 35's , I think Ford tractors of the same era.

This manual covers all of the 440 crawler with the original Deere gas engine. So, all you need after this one is a manual for the Perkins. Deere did the same thing with the 2-53 diesel (separate manual for the diesel engine).

The 440 diesels in the US used the 2-53 Detroit, the Deere-Lanz 440's made in Europe use the 3 cylinder Perkins. They were not imported here during production.
