JD 1010 tracks onto a 420

Post by mc_mike » Sat Sep 30, 2006 11:32 am

I asked some questions before about undercarriage interchange and I want to make sure I have this straight.

If I want to swap 1010 tracks onto a 5 roller 420 they will fit the orginial sprockets or do I need the narrower offset sprocket?

Will 1010 sprockets fit the final drives on a 420 if I need to use them? I think I remember the tracks on a 1010 are 36 links as my 420 is 35.

So stating all of that, if I remove one link from a 1010 track will they fit directly on my 5 roller 420?

Thanks for any help.
Mike

Mike,
1010 rails are same pitch and bushing size as 420, just knock a link out and put them on.
