early 420 center frame

Will the center frame off a JD 40 tricycle tractor fit early (- 100000) 420 crawler? Part no.'s for 420 tractor and 420 crawler the same and appereance of 40 center frame looks like it will fit, even though casting numbers are different.

They should be the same, according to the parts book. AT10863T is the correct assembly number for 40 and 420 to serial #100000. Looks like T11006T is the casting number. If they don't match, be sure someone hasn't been swaping things before you got them.
