1010 fluids/grease

Post by stmftr395 » Fri Apr 14, 2017 10:16 am

Am close to firing off my gas 1010 after a undercarriage/clutch rebuild. It appears that JD cornhead grease is the preferred lubricate for the rollers and idlers so this it what I intend to use. Any objections?

I do not have the JD grease gun which the manual references. Is there a substitute or do I use a standard grease gun carefully?

The hydraulic system has been drained and will require refilling. Any preferences on which oil to use? JD hydraulic oil or any hydraulic oil?

Hope to have some postings of an operational 1010 soon!
