Hydraulic tank off can I crank?

Post by Spledger » Sun Apr 30, 2017 8:43 pm

Hello ,
I am in the process of changing out the steering clutches in a 2010. The hydraulic tank has been taken off and the only hydraulic lines that are off are the 2 that ran to the hydraulic fluid tank. When I get to the point of testing my work on the steering clutch replacements I want to crank the loader without putting the seat and hydraulic tank back on in case I have to adjust something.

Is it ok the crank the loader without the hydraulic tank connected ?

Thanks !

I don't think you should run the hydraulic pump without fluid. I'd hook up temp lines to the tank or disconnect the pump. Seems like there is a disconnect lever between the pump and the front end of the engine crankshaft.
