Indexing Integral MC Cylinder

Post by skymoco » Sun Aug 06, 2017 6:46 pm

I decided to rebuild both my integral cylinders and now it's been months since I took them apart and I forgot how I can index them. In the past it's been one at a time but now I am at a bit of a loss.

Anyone point me in the right direction so to speak.

11 degrees from level sticks in my head, but can't remember for sure. I think the MC service manual has the correct procedure.

I'm also thinking that if you draw a line though the lift shaft bar pointing forward (towards the end with the four bolts), the travel has to be between the top and bottom of the cylinder ends. I have the MC manual and I don't see that anywhere. I guess I need the manual for the integral cylinder only I've never seen one. I have the parts list...

I was wrong, it is 16 degrees from level, pointing up with the piston at the end for maximum up.

That was it. Just slightly up from level did the trick.
