Governor thrust washer

A quick FYI: A short time ago, Lavoy mentioned the thrust washer between the governor and the block. Mine did not have one, but I wasn't sure if I had lost it, of if it simply wasn't there. I ordered one from JD. After receiving it, and comparing it with wear marks, it is obvious that it hasn't been there for at least some run time. The bearing was beginning to mark the block.

If mine was missing, no doubt others will be, too.

I had the same thing happen to me and it wasn't long before I was replacing the govener again and the second time realized the washer was missing.
