Good service manual

Post by Seth » Wed Oct 25, 2017 9:42 am

Hello, I am a new guy, just got my first crawler yesterday, 1952 mc. I have the operation manual but would like to get a good service manual for it. What do you guys recommend? Thanks

Hi,

Only the original Deere ones are any good. There is a list of manuals for all the models over in the FAQ forum. But, here is the info for the MC:

OM TMC2551
SM 2003
PC 848

MC 1000 Tool Carrier
OM Y6-1050

MC 60 Bulldozer
OM F21-1131

The M manuals were split into M, MT and MC. Manuals for the later models have the crawlers in with the rest. M was SM2001 and MT was SM2002. I have PC194 (1954) which only covers the standard M wheel tractor. Presumably, there were other PCs for the MT and MC. PC848 is a later one (1963) which covers all the M variants.

OM is Operator's Manual, SM is Service manual, and PC is Parts Catalog.
