JD 440 ICD oil filter

Post by mitchb » Fri Nov 24, 2017 5:27 pm

I can not find the oil filter on this machine. Other posts say it is on the left of motor under tank and behind governor. Is it possible it was removed? I don't see any lines blocked off / missing. Anyone have a picture?

Look st this video, in the first half of the video you can see a large plate with about a 3 inch hole in it between the hood and the track. My oil filter is mounted just inside that plate, horizontally. It is a bypass style filter and the lines run down in front of and below the governor.

Thanks, I looked at the video and found some pictures. The filter is definitely gone. Does anyone have a close up photo of where the oil lines connect into the block? I'm going to put a spin on filter on it if I can find a kit.
