I now know that my foolishness, or stupidity, with leaving one lifter adjuster loose, was not a fatal error.
I just pulled the button, and it hit, and ran, on the second try. All seems well.
I now need to replace the rest of the front end, install the regulator, cap, and gauges when they get here, and move on down the road.
All is well that ends well, and there isn't any pain in retrospect.

Thanks, you all. I must admit that my self confidence was beginning to flag a bit, but I am a persistant cuss (perhaps stubborn to some). Yes, it is good to hear it run again.
Right now, I have the blade on saw horses outside in the door way, and I may have a slight weather window in which I can weld, so I have to get cracking.
Thanks,
Gary
