You left out Mr. Gauss and his units for measurement of magnetic fields.
I went thru USN Electronic Technician School in 59-60 and they taught strictly electron flow and used Left Hand Rules for the relationship between current , magnetic fields, and motor rotation. Then 20 years later SMU was teaching conventional current in BSEE courses. You can figure it out either way and it still works.
