40c 5 roller

Post by tldec50 » Sat Mar 23, 2019 11:46 am

I have a 40c with 14 inch pads and deep dish drive wheels.I have a question on the track pins. They are all the same with no master pins. The pins are 1.19 inch diameter on the ends that are pressed into the track chain.I can not find any numbers to posibaly cross reference to find a master pin to put back in the track. Anyone run into this on these crawlers? The correct 40/420 pins are a lot smaller.

Not sure what you have, but not factory. Might be 350 chains, but they are 1.125 pin diameter.

After hours with a wire brush found the name of berco stamped in a chain link, also a pin stamped 1065 i am guessing that is a hardness stamp.searched online found a phone# for berco will give them a call tomorrow.thanks for the reply Lavoy.

Hi,

350 master pin looks like the rest, except for a dimple on the end. It isn't as obvious as a 420 master pin. But, to be on a 420, there needs to be a rim sprocket welded onto the 420 sprocket dish (the original 420 teeth are cut off and the 350 rim sprocket welded on).
