420c track question
420c track question
My tracks are adjusted fully out to the max and the tracks are still pretty slack (right side more than left). Is it more cost effective to just go ahead and get new chains instead of overhauling 60 year old chains? Also, front idler shaft is very worn... I can shake the idler by hand and they move a lot. Is the shaft still available or would I have to take to a machine shop to machine and rebush?
Re: 420c track question
No new 2 bolt tracks available, only new option is to change to 350 rails, pads and sprocket rims. Whether to have your chains rebushed depends on link height and overall condition of the rails them selves.
I have front idler parts on hand normally.
