Tracks for 1952 MC crawler

Post by jacksonvine » Fri Jun 07, 2019 10:34 am

I have removed/repaired all of the track shoes from the old rails on my 1952 MC crawler and am beginning to reassemble on the refurbished rails I purchased earlier from you. I would like to know if there is a directional issue for the rails and shoes? As long as I have the track shoes pointing in the right direction does it make any difference which end of the new rails I begin with, I failed to look at the old rails but can see the indention on the bottom of the shoes from the old rail. Thank you.

Look at the pads, and there are two "slots" on the leading edge of the pad. They go over the part of the rail that would potentially hit the pad if they slots weren't there. Other than that, grouser on an MC is towards the rear if looking from the top, or the last to contact the ground if that makes sense.
