Post by rvbarkley » Sat Dec 02, 2006 4:09 pm

Was just cruiseing e-bay and noticed an MC with 5 hrs left that was bid up to $8,000.00 (and had not met reserve yet !!)

As far as I can tell.. nothing. Just people getting excited about some "green gold"

I'm not betting against Lavoy on this one. Seems like there was some pretty balanced bidding up to the point where it went over its reasonable value and then it looks like something funny was going on. Sort of makes you wonder.

That's a pretty common tactic on E-Bay- have some friends bid up on it for you to get someone not invloved in the collusion to bid above the reserve.

Hi,

Well, that's eBay for you. Basically, if something smells like manure in any given auction, it's probably something you don't want to be stepping into!

And, nope. I'm not taking that bet with Lavoy, either!
