Hi guys! New here so bare with me please!
I am from central BC, Canada ( Quesnel) have just acquired a 440 ic, seems to be in nice shape( wear wise) has a 8A gearmatic, no reverser, 5 speed, canopy ( JD); outboard blade. Previous owner let it sit while waiting for new carb, installed it, started and let warm up and it seized engine. I believe water got in base and oil pump was pumping water mixture, it turned #2 rod.( gas engine)
Am going to push into shop sometime this week and start dismantling. Will post pics and progress as I go along.
I am a Cat guy ( 40 yrs with cat dealer, so this is a change😂😂)
By serial number, believe it’s a 1958.
Glad to be on board.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like a nice project. This site has a dedicated pic site, read about it in the FAQ section. Best regards, Bruce
