1010 diesel loosing prime

Hi ,I have an early 1010 diesel, runs great ,unless I let it sit for a couple of months the it gets air in the system. Even air in the filters. I resealed the injection pump, full tank of fuel, doesn't seem to loose fuel, the oil level doesn't go up . When it's primed it runs great. Side note ,it is really hard to prime , I will have to recharge the battery 6 or seven times to get all the air out. Any ideas would help,thanks

What kind of shape are the lines from the pump to the injectors in? Fittings in good shape and tight?
