440 Crawler Radiator Support Removal Help Needed

Post by Blaster2019 » Tue Dec 10, 2019 6:41 pm

I have a stripped out lower radiator support, right side tp be exact and was wondering how these come out so I can repair it. Are the pressed in, threaded in or preside and pinned in? Any help would be greatly appreciated as service manuals do not go into this task. Found this when I was going to replace the bad radiator, but want to do the job right so it will last and NOT damage new parts.

If you are referring to the " peg " that is sticking out from the front engine mount they are pressed in. Drive them out from the inside out. Had to do one on my 440 due to the mounting bolt being broken.

Thanks, just what I was needing. :D I'll get to work today before this cold weather gets any worse so I can get the new radiator in and get the old girl anti-freezed up.
