2010c Engine Swap

Post by Zlkaser » Thu May 28, 2020 5:27 pm

Has anyone ever swapped a different engine into a 2010c dozer that had a OE 165 diesel? I was curious about a 300 series out of a later 450, something direct injected

Until someone can prove me wrong, I will maintain that there is nothing other than another sleeve deck engine that will bolt in to a 1010/2010. I have heard for as long as I have been doing this (30 years) that everything from a 87 Corvette 350 to a jet engine is a direct bolt in. Funny thing is, in 30 years I have never seen anyone do it.
Now, that is not to say something can not be cobbled in. I almost bought a 3 roller 420 once with a V4 Wisconsin in it, so where there is a will, there is a way I guess.

There was one with the Wisconsin conversion along a road I travel occasionally. It kept moving and I'm assuming it was being used. It looked like a late 40. There were parts of another one there for a while but they disappeared. Finally had a 4 sale sign on it and it also disappeared.
