JD Online Parts List

Post by RacinJason » Tue Jul 28, 2020 8:05 am

I read that Deere will no longer host their Part List online. Can someone explain? If so, How can we look up a part. I see the listing for 420 C comes up, but no prices, etc. I recently ordered a hydraulic pipe from JD, but it went thru a sub seller. JTP

Deere is no longer going to support the JDPartsonline, and it is largely non-functional already. I assume that shortly it will not even come up as a valid address. They have given multiple warnings that it will no longer be supported in 2020.

Hi,

So, it is back to the old printed Parts Catalogs. Which I have always had anyway.

The way this reads: "Access to JDParts will be stopped in 2020.
However, you can buy parts online from your local dealer using Parts Catalog Application For additional information or specific questions, please contact your local dealer directly." As I read/see it the access to the catalogs will still be available. On the Home page when you click on that "Parts Catalog Application" link it takes you to https://partscatalog.deere.com/. There are choices there for a "Quick Order Form", "Retrieve Saved Carts/Parts", and "Past Order History". I believe what they are doing is making you set up with a dealer to order from on line. By putting things in your cart I think you may see the the price from your selected dealer, may be not. Whether the info of price and if the dealer has it in stock or not, may be up to the dealer's site. I expect some of the specifications we could see on some items will likely disappear. The Construction and Forestry dealer I use has a different format when I check for a price than the Ag dealer which has been using the JD Parts system. Very little part detail compared to the Ag site. Access to the on line catalogs is available on both sites. The prices are often different on the same items (where the same part is used on both sides). I have seen posts on other forums of differences in prices for the same parts and some dealers adding freight to everything; JD may have been getting push back from some dealers for putting the prices out there. Time will tell what we end up with and it may vary between dealers. In the Northeast we can add to the changes with the buyout/"merging" of 10 (current count) dealers (25 locations total) by Northeast United Turf and AG. Just my thoughts, for what they are worth.

I'm not happy with the Deere corporation anyway, ever since they eliminated R.N. Johnson in Walpole,NH and the one in Newport, Maine. Good thing I like John Deere's. At least they still support us in a small way, so that we can continue to maintain and USE our favorite toys. We have to support people like Lavoy, who not only runs this Forum, but is so active in giving us advice, sells used parts and also is getting parts re-manufactured. We all owe him a lot. As a former Corvair owner (still love 'em), I visited Cal Clark and his wife, in a rented farmhouse in Colrain, MA. They were just starting to buy up all the Corvair parts from Chev. dealers across the Country. Now, they are retired, after building a "Corvair Dynasty), which is still carrying on, in 5 big Quonset warehouses in Shelburne, MA. Anyone in Western MA would know about them, I'm sure. We must give due credit to Lavoy, and the many others who work diligently to help keep us Green!
