Hello all, new here to the forum, 1010c

Hello all,

I just purchased a 1010c, 1961, diesel, 6 way blade, with 14" tracks. Had it running and moving forward and reverse, hydraulics worked, so now I am figuring out what parts I'm going to need. I see there is a vast amount of info on this site. I already purchased the Operators, Parts and Tech manuals so I can track down filters and recommended fluids.

One question, and forgive me I haven't searched through the board yet, I would like to change the oil bath air filter to a regular style air filter, is this an easy task, has someone already done this?

Thanks and looking forward to taking part in the board.

Ken

No conversions so to speak. If you can find a real high serial number diesel (>42,000) you can rob all of the air cleaner components off of it. Beyond that, the oil bath works fine, no drawbacks other than change the oil once in a while.

Thanks for the info Lavoy, working through a few issues, will start up and run for a few minutes then quit, looking at the fuel system right now to see if the pump and injectors need rebuilt.

Check the fuel line to the tank and filters. Pump may be starving for fuel.
