Sounds like a bad coil to me. Just because you installed a new one, doesn't mean it was a good one. Was it made in China?

I also installed electronic ignition on my crawler , first thing it did was boil the oil out of the coil , so i would make sure you have the correct coil as the instructions for mine said to use a specific type of coil , I'm assuming one with higher voltage capabilities , good luck
