fuel additive

Post by vailvalley59 » Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:17 am

I have a 2010 diesel and have had problems in the past with injector pump gumming up. Can someone please advise as to a good additive to stop the problems with modern fuel gumming up the pump? The unit does not run for several months at a time but is always indoors. I have tried several but an not sure which might be better Thanks

Modern diesel won't gum it up, the issue is lack of lubricity in the ULSD. Best options are Bio Diesel, or just add 1pt of TCWIII outboard motor oil.
