440 icd water pump

My 440 icd decided it was time for a new water pump. Is there a source for these. Local dealer hasn't called me back. Are the water pumps the same as the 353 and 453 detroit water pumps cause they are everywhere online.

It has been years since I have worked on a Jimmy, but I think the 53 series pumps were the same, other than you need to know if it is a left or right hand pump. But don't buy one based on my memory.

Send Lavoy an email or give him a call, he might be able to supply a pump. You say local dealer? Is that John Deere or Detroit Diesel? If you haven't checked with a Detroit Diesel dealer you should try that. Most Jimmy/Detroit's had an option plate on the side of valve cover. That might help, along with the numbers off the block There are left and right pumps used based on the engine build, so you will need to know which yours is. The JD parts catalog shows an engine serial number split with a different pump for each side of that split. I couldn't get either of those pump part numbers or a cross reference to come up during a quick look on line.

Rebuild only from what I remember, been a few years since I did one. Definitely NLA from Deere.

Check part number with the Deere catalog, and see if it looks the same. Otherwise, I can get rebuilt, not sure on kits.
