850 watt tank heater

I'm sure not impressed with this 850 W tank heater, I've had it plugged in all night and block is not that warm and it never got below 38 degrees here. I guess it would be alright if ya just wanted to keep the engine from freezing. I keep anti freeze in all my rigs, anti freeze is cheap compared to new motor. I am going to change it out to the 1500 W that I have on hand.

Something is odd, 850 should have quite warm to the touch, if not almost hot. I have used that size in the past with no problem at much coldr temps.
