Its nice to know that some of Canada is actually getting some winter .I am fifteen miles east of Lake Huron .And we have fall weather right now no freezing in site either. I have been installing drainage tile as that is my main business and have lots to do next spring .So I just went at it after Christmas My drainage plow operators both went snow plowing this year thinking they were going to make good money. So my little brother and I took over the plow units and are doing it our selves .Its a bit muddy but we are managing about 30 000 feet per day still each. And need about two more weeks to get this all done .The hired operators came out to see me the other day and were looking for there jobs back .As they are in the land of the unemployed at this point .I told them I was having fun and to call me in the spring. I guess that I will have to look for spring work when we do get winter .I wont get time to work on that winter project my 40C still siting patiently in the old shop This weather is not normal in this area as we are the snow belt of Ontario and the neighbors are actually cutting lawn .Digitup.

Temperature is down to -40 with windchill. 2 good things about -40 are that I'll be able to get the old girl out on the ice and you don't have to worry about F/C converting.

We haven't had a "winter" here in Maine for a few years at least. Last year I didn't have to plow my driveway once! That's unheard of. Any snow we got would melt the next day. This year is starting out the same way...it was almost 60 last weekend. I was on the crawler in a T-shirt...in January...IN MAINE!
Sucks for the snow-mobile crowd, but I'm not complaining.
