420c head

Post by r doud » Sun Feb 28, 2021 9:42 pm

i ordered a head for a jd 420c from all states and they told me they had a used one but i would have to lap the valves . this is a bare head, and when it arrived it had one hole good, the other one pits in the seats. i could lap this thing all day and it wont be any good. i payed 400.00 en clouding shipping. this was in bad shape and should have never been shipped. i am having a hard time finding a good used one. if you know of a good one let me know. thanks Bob. chiloquin or

I should also add that new heads will require machining to finish, and I always assume a used head will require machining prior to use as well. This is whey I usually don't sell bare heads.
