Some here know that I bought a dead 420 a few years ago, and slowly brought it back to life dealing with gremlins like many others. Anyway, a few days ago it was time to hang buckets for sugaring. I went out and uncovered my 420 which has not started for about 5 months ( I do keep it on a trickle charger that’s on a timer). Anyway, checked fluids, fuel on, two spins, and pop, pop, etc. It’s so nice to have gotten to the point where this part-time machine starts and runs as expected when needed.
To those still searching for this Grail, keep the faith, you’ll get there.
Happy Spring.

I understand what you're saying, That is a good feeling when they light off when called on after setting. Hope you have a good sap run this year. Take care and enjoy.

Re: Light at the tunnel’s end.
My 420 has fired up for me every time even land still for six months or more. Finally this year time to push some snow and nothing but a weak spark. Little did I know till further investigation the screw holding the points had come loose and the gap was wide open. Once adjusted back up I hit the starter and off to work I go!
I think I can smell the sap cooking from here!
