Is 50/50 Dextron okay for a 420?
If man can break it man can fix it .. it just takes time and money.

Are you asking about a 50/50 mix of Dex-cool antifreeze and water for coolant, or a 50/50 mix of Deron (aka Dextron) ATF and something for a fluid in some location? If you are asking about coolant, a 50/50 mix of straight antifreeze and water coolant generally gives about -34F protection, which is a common ratio in a many areas. Dex-cool should be fine as a coolant. Follow the instructions for the coolant you use as some of the new coolants will mix with the green antifreeze and some require a system flush first to prevent the mix making sludge in the block and radiator. I use a universal coolant that will mix with the old green stuff and most of the types like Dex-cool.

If you are asking about a mix of Dexron ATF and something, I'd say no without having more info on what you are trying to do. No extra charge if you give a longer description, so things are clear.
