Hi,

Yes, jumping is parallel. Like most diesel crawlers with their two batteries. You are adding currents. In series, you are adding voltages. So, series is one positive to the other negative and then you hook the load to the left over positive and negative terminals. Like flashlight cells.

The battery is made up of cells hooked in series, you just don't see.them like you do flashlight cells.
