Hi all; I'm a new member, have a 430c. I have read a few of the forums and don't see many 430c in the topics. Are they rare or just worn out and junked. Mine is a 4 roller with 5 speed reverser with a 62 blade. Currently have the radiator, grill and guard off.Going to pull the motor as it is stuck. It was sitting in the woods for about 5 yrs. Still had anti-freeze in it. The fun has just begun.

hi mailtrain, i also have a 430, and i know where there is another 4 right around here. they only made 2,240 of them which is why u dont see a lot on them. IMO they are the best lookin two cylinder crawler.

Not rare, just not a whole lot built, about on the same level as a 3 roller 40. I have had several, had numerous customers with them as well. I would say on a percentage basis, there are less of them parted out then the other models.

I will have a lot to learn. It will just take a lot of time and $. Keep me out of trouble except with the wife.I get the same as everyone else another piece of junk in the yard.Is it easier to pull motor and bell housing together or seperate? I have a lot to do left side has been apart not long ago track was put on backwards and evidence of a final drive problem.A few track and roller issues so far.

Pull the engine by itself, pulling it with the bellhousing can't be done unless it is a very high serial number 430.

thanks Lavoy , This a nice clean site that you have here. Very enjoyable.Another question is the belt for the fan to the harmonic balancer. How does one get it on? Does it have to do with the allen set and the bolt? thanks Dean

Yes, loosen the set screw, and the outer shaeve will thread off. If you want to know the truth, I take them off with a knife if I know I will be replacing it. Then it is easier to get the sheave off and clean everyting up.
