440IC Track Tensioner Spring Shields

Post by hunter41mag » Tue Jan 09, 2007 5:18 pm

Hi,

By the look of some of the tensioner spring/bolt assemblies from 440IC/ICD rebuild projects it looks like it would be better to leave the dirt shields off. This way you can knock out any dirt build up and keep an eye that the spring stays in its seat. I would think this would keep the tensioner spring/ bolt assemblies from getting bent???

Trouble is there is more dirt that falls on the top of the spring than normally comes up from the bottom. Might be a horse apiece.
