Hi
I’m new to crawlers have always had other 2 cylinder tractors but never a crawler. purchased a 1955 40 crawler with a loader bucket on it. Got it running but needs some work yet. I do have 2 questions.
What kind of track shoes are on it. They are smooth faced. I am missing one and the bolts are all loose on the others.
Also one of the hydraulic hoses broke. How do I bleed the air out of the system once the hose is fixed? It is a Greenville loader.
I am new to the message board but I believe I attached a picture of the crawler.
Thank you

40c hydraulics
Re: 40c hydraulics
They are street shoes or loader pads, there is an actual description and part number, don't remember it off hand.
The air will bleed itself out with useage.

Thank you. I thought they might be street shoes but I haven’t been able to find a picture with a description.

I believe the street pad part number you are looking for is M2747T. It is used on both the 40C & 420C
Re: 40c hydraulics
jdparts has the part numbers listed for street pads, but there are different numbers
depending on the width of the track. I think there's 10, 12, and 14 inch widths.

Re: 40c hydraulics
No 14" street pads, just 10 and 12", but 3 different styles.
