Help with 1010c Final Drive Removal

Post by fishingbucks » Sat Sep 18, 2021 1:55 pm

Ive got all bolts out except one of the 4 big bolts that hold on final drive that are parallel with track, I can’t get the inside bottom one off. I’ve tried impact (a good one) and it still won’t budge. I got the other 3 out with a power handle and pull bar. There’s no room to rotate handle on this bolt because undercarriage is in the way. The other bad news is the bolt head is rounded off. A 12 point socket just spins. A 6 point holds so far but will not loosen. Will I have to crawl up under there with peer handle or take off undercarriage? Any help would be most appreciated.

Update: I can’t get the upper inside bolt off, not the bottom one.

Heat the final drive about half an inch past the joint towards the final, keep the heat on as you try the impact.
