1010c blade compatibility help

Post by fishingbucks » Wed May 25, 2022 2:59 pm

I’ve got a 63 or 64 JD 1010c with a manual blade. Has hydraulic up and down only and was told it was from an earlier model dozer. The frame is inside the tracks and has cylinders that have exterior long bolts. I’ve come across a six way blade and control valve from a 1970 JD 350. I was told this blade will fit with no modifications. Can someone help me with this? I don’t want to buy a problem. Thanks

THe blade you describe could be the original blade.
I am skeptical that a 350 blade will be any sort of direct fit without modification. Two entirely different chassis, completely different track frames.

Hi,

I have a 350C sitting next to a 420c. And the 420c and the 1010 are very similar. I can tell you a blade, inside or outside mount, from a 350 is not going onto a 420. And so I am 99 percent sure the same applies to the 1010.
