440ic identification

Post by GalenB » Sat Oct 01, 2022 7:15 pm

If you have a 440IC gas with no serial number plate, is there a good way to figure out which ops manual would be needed? The grill is the round hole late model, the throttle is on the upper left of the dash (not the center), and it has a 5-speed transmission with a reverser. The rear final drive castings are T12912T, which looking at the parts book, seems to be in 1960 and after the parts manual year split. Thanks for any help.

Judging by the grille, it is going to be after the serial number break as far as manual.
