Saw an old green crawler today for sale. It had a front mount winch off the front pto with chain drive and a rear accessory belt wheel on the left. Was gas two cylinder and probably used in the winter as the tracks were corked for ice. Had a metal seat like lindermans? and not in bad shape. Any ideas what it is?

Sounds kind of odd, belt pulley on a Lindeman is on the RH side, not the left. None of the crawlers had a front PTO unless you mean it was driven off of the crankshaft, but that would be kind of fast to drive a winch. Get a pic of it if you can, then we might be able to get a better idea.

Well I talked to the owner today and seems it was his fathers Oliver from the fourtys or earlier. He said it ran fine, winch worked fine, has good undercarriage etc. just needs TLC. Has been stored in old Maple sugarhouse but the building is getting unsafe so they removed it to sell. I have a picture and I'll get my son to help me post it as he is more profecient on the computor than I.
